John Wigmore
Neville Marsh wites:
It was announced at the presentation evening of the Kent County Photographic Association’s Exhibition that Ashford PS member, John Wigmore FRPS, MPAGB, APAGB,EFIAP, BPE4*, has been made an Honorary Life Vice-President of the KCPA. This unique honour recognises the enormous contribution that John has made to the KCPA over a great many years. John has been a member of Ashford PS for over 60 years and his involvement with the KCPA is not much less. He became a KCPA judge in 1973 and in due course became, and remains, a Premier Judge. John has also been a member of the KCPA’s Judges Panel for many years, helping to raise standards of judging and providing guidance to Accredited, Provisional and potential new judges. He served as President for the first time from 1976 to 1979 inclusive, a role he reprised from 1996 to 1999 inclusive. John served continuously on the KCPA Executive from early in the 1970s until 2010.

Given John’s dedication to the KCPA, including a great many hours judging competitions and exhibitions in KCPA clubs, the honour of being made an Honorary Life Vice-President of the KCPA is very well deserved.
