This week we were lucky to have a presentation from Anne Sutcliffe FRPS, on a rare visit to Kent from her home in the West Midlands, a member of Solihull and Smethwick Photographic Societies .
Anne is an international accredited judge and Chair of The London Salon of Photography. A much respected photographer nationally she explained her love of photography was inspired by her father John Sutcliffe FRPS and encouraged by her partner Allan Millward FRPS.
To gain success she began by seeking to find her own style which she described as pale and interesting, with a good eye for composition her prints from visits to Yellowstone Park In the USA , Cuba and South America on Subjects from landscape, wildlife to street and abstract she explained when she thought it appropriate to manipulate images in photoshop and when not to, she recalled the circumstances in taking each picture.
Ending her talk with recent portrait prints which she found a challenge at first but still displayed her continuing passion for photography.
